Söndagen den 26 februari 2023 utbröt en brand i vårt restaurangkök. Vi har under hela 2023 jobbat med återställningen och till julborden, som började i slutet av november, kunde vi öppna restaurangen igen. Vi har inte fullt ut våra egna stolar ännu, men det kommer det att bli så småning om. Inför sommaren 2024 kommer allt att vara som vanligt igen, då vi kommer att ha öppet som vi brukar, med lunch och fika. Vår samarbetspartner på mat-och dryckessidan Fjällkonditoriet i Oviken kommer att annonsera och meddela olika evenemang mm på instagram/facebookkontot “wardshusetiPersasen” Följ dem gärna för att hålla er uppdaterade.
I dagsläget går det alldeles utmärkt att skicka en förfrågan om tex konferens, bröllop, fest mm då vi tar emot gruppbokningar. Logi finns förstås också att tillgå. Välkommen med er förfrågan på info@persasen.se

Welcome to Wikners i Persåsen!
Hostel, cottages and hotel in Persåsen lies 60 km southwest of Östersund and offers unique accommodation close to the Oviken mountains,
in association with the Wikner manufacture of wooden home furnishing products that started in 1969.
Here you will find exhibitions and sales of both Wikner’s own products and those of other craftsmen.

Timbered cottages
The rooms have been designed and furnished based on classic Swedish woods.
Guests can stay in timbered 4-bed cabins with a shower, toilet and small self-contained kitchen. Linens are available to rent at reception.
To book a final cleaning of the cottage you have to contact the reception +46 643445550.
Enjoy a few days in the Lake Storsjön area in a pleasant, timbered 4-bed cottage. All cottages are equipped with fridge, kitchenette, shower, toilet, TV and clock radio.
There is also a bigger cottage with separate bedroom with 2 beds, kitchen with built-in bunk beds and a sofa bed in the living room with an open fire place and TV. The larger cottage has a patio with an open fire place. Otherwise it is as well-equipped as the smaller cottages. Bed linen is available for rent. Furthermore there is a corner sofa that can be converted into a bed if more beds are needed.

STF Hostel and Hotel
Members in STF (the Swedish tourist association) can reserve our beautiful timbered cottages as “STF hostel”.
The cottages are equipped with its own shower, toilet, TV, fridge and kitchenette. In the reception there is bed linen for rent.
The hotel rooms in Persåsen are designed and decorated in different types of classic Swedish woods.
You are staying scenic in the middle of the lake Storsjö area.
Near the hotel and the cabins there is a gift shop, furniture mall, art mall and exhibitions.
Please note you need to be a member in STF to get the hostel prices. You can offcourse stay anyway, but You will get a better price if you are member in STF
Membership can be purchased in Persåsen. For more information regarding membership please go to STFs home page at www.stfturist.se.
For non-members 50SEK/night per person and adult and 25SEK/night per child over 6 years will be added.
Restaurant
Our restaurant and café serves lovingly prepared food and pastry based on locally produced ingredients.
Lunch is usually served every day in summertime. Updates comes near summertime.
Breakfast can be provided if booked in advance if you stay in cottage or hostel.
Giftshop and furnitureshop
Persåsen lies south of Östersund and offers unique accommodation in association
with the Wikner manufacture of wooden home furnishing products that started in 1969.
Here you will find exhibitions and sales of both Wikner’s own products and those of other craftsmen.
We make furniture using many different woods including sallow, larch, aspen, blue pine, beech, birch, pine and spruce.
To see and do
The region is a heaven for ski enthusiasts and jig fishers. It also holds a wealth of possibilities during summer, when the focus on the mountains turns to hiking and cycling. The countryside around Storsjön, Sweden’s fifth biggest lake, is exceptionally beautiful and diverse with a rich cultural heritage. The area from Persåsen and towards the mountains is famous for its fäbodar – traditional pastoral huts. Visit Hoverberget with views to up to 13 churches and which also hides Sweden’s deepest cleft cave, open for visits summer.
